TRANSPORTATION & PARKING

Need transportation to Springfield? Able to provide transportation for others? Sign up to carpool here!

The Valley Flyer train runs from Greenfield to New Haven with stops in Northampton, Holyoke and Springfield. Learn more here and get your tickets now!

There will be a large event at MGM and the MassMutual Center that day, so please take that into account when planning your travel! Please plan carpools, use the carpool planner above, or take the train if you can! Large groups that are marching, we recommend meeting up at a location close to you and carpooling into the city.

Metered parking spots downtown are free on Saturdays.

There are several paid lots/garages downtown with plenty of spots (most will be $8-10 for about four hours of parking):

  • Union Station (closer to march gathering/step off location)

  • 341-359 Dwight Street lot (equidistant to start and end points)

  • I-91 North Garage (1870 East Columbus Ave)
  • I-91 South Garage (1620 East Columbus Ave)
  • Columbus Center Garage (150 Bridge Street)
  • Taylor Street Garage (33 Taylor Street)
  • Tower Square Garage (Entrance on East Columbus Ave and Bridge Street)

ACCESSIBILITY

PVWM aims to make the march and rally accessible to all. If you need assistance due to limited mobility or disability, please check in with a volunteer. They will be able to answer your questions or point you in the right direction. PLEASE LET US KNOW IF YOU NEED A RIDE BACK TO YOUR CAR AFTER THE MARCH/RALLY. We do not have shuttles but will happily arrange for a ride for those who cannot otherwise make the return trip!

ASL interpreters will be at the beginning of the march and at the rally at City Hall. We will also have some chairs at the front of the rally for those who need a seat. Please leave room at the front of the rally for individuals who need to be closest!

If you have a specific accommodation request, please email pvwomensmarch at gmail dot com.

MARCH ROUTE

The march route is approximately 3/4 of a mile, from Northgate Center to City Hall.

Please feel free to join us at any point on the march route!

RALLY

The rally is scheduled to begin at 1:00 pm at City Hall. We have a dynamic group of speakers and performers so please join in!

There will be ASL interpreters and we ask that those needing interpretation come to the front of the steps so they have the clearest view. If you need help, please ask a volunteer.

After the rally, if you need assistance returning to your vehicle, please make sure you reach out to a volunteer.

RESTROOMS

Public restrooms are available in Union Station, a few blocks away from the march starting point, and at City Hall during the rally and activist fair. If you need an accessible restroom at Northgate Center (the starting point), please check in with a PVWM volunteer.
